• I became a professional mosaic artist in 2000 after becoming interested in community art.   Originally self taught, I have spent the last 7 years working constantly in the mosaic arena, both as a tutor and mosaic maker.   I develop innovative teaching methods and products, and expand on traditional techniques to suit the modern day mosaic artist.

Mosaic art for therapy & the environment – taking it to the streets.

• Mosaic tutor – Beginner to advanced workshops are held regularly at Studio OzMosaics.
  I also teach ‘Art from the Heart’ at Craft Fairs, Endeavour Foundation and Mater Children’s Hospital Brisbane – Captain Starlight Room.  I also work with children and adults with special needs, which is both inspiring and rewarding for everyone involved.

• My art – Some of my pieces have toured by invitation with Mosaic Now 2006-2007 (Australian and Italian Exhibition of Modern Mosaic Art) and juried travelling art show MAANZ 30 x 30 Exhibition 2006/2007-2008.

• Artist in Residency programs - Queensland Schools, Norfolk Island, and Grafton ArtsFest. I was an invited tutor at the Grafton Artsfest in October 2006/2007, teaching students the art of mosaics alongside artists from around the globe.  St Aden’s school is part of a teaching program at OzMosaics and Loreto have commissioned two mosaic artworks for their school chapel and courtyard.  My artwork is set in courtyards, tables, residences and decorates many surfaces. 
• 
  Art in the Community – it’s important to give back to the community with good spirit and I work with children in hospital, schools, elderly and disabled to bring the joy of mosaics to all age groups.  I plan huge mosaic projects and the current project is a mural as a gift to Australia Zoo – hundreds of participants around the world have sent/are sending mosaic segments to OzMosaics which will be pieced together.  This project will be installed at Australia Zoo, some time in 2008.

• Materials – I import mosaic materials, tools and supplies, as well as stocking Australian products.    I use professional methods and materials in teaching and all mosaic commissions.   I developed a substrate called mOzBoard to keep mosaics lightweight and durable for indoor/outdoor installations.

• Clients – Queensland Rail, Queensland Arts, Art Built-in, Stamford Plaza Hotel, Loreto Girls College – Brisbane, Queensland State schools, a leading pool fabricator, private sector clients, students and general public.
