2006-2007 Karalee State Primary School   [budget $15,000 Arts Queensland Art-  Built-in}

A 24 m long (approx 50 sq metres of mosaic) seat and surroundings - a combination of Gaudi style mosaics and Indigenous art blended together!   Sandy, teachers and students fabricated the mosaic art in 2005 and 2007 – early 2008 the large concrete seat is being covered in mosaic art.   Features a blend of mosaic art inspired by Aboriginal links in the area and whimsical mosaic art based on students designs.   An architecturally designed chair is situated outside the new community performing art centre on the school grounds.

2006    Norfolk Island - Community Arts Project   “150 years of Settlement of Norfolk Island.”

I spent four weeks at Norfolk Island as team leader, teacher and mentor of the Norfolk Island Airport mural project.    OzMosaics designed the mural with the Community Arts Association and supplied all materials, shipped from Brisbane.  The mosaic is installed in the airport terminal and measures 3 x 2 metres.

2007-2009 Australia Zoo Mosaic Mural – Tribute to Steve Irwin

A huge mosaic mural is being constructed at OzMosaics studio incorporating mosaic art made by artists world-wide.   The theme - all creatures great and small - is the inspiration and at the end of 2007 the mosaic cartoon will be completed and the mesh mosaics combined and appliquéd together to make a gigantic wall mural – a tribute and a gift to Australia Zoo.  2008 will see the mosaic made at OzMosaics Studio and installed at Australia Zoo at an appropriate time.  To date over 200 mosaics have been received.
