The joy of mosaics will be with me forever and my mission is to contribute to beautifying the landscape with mosaic art, to pass on skills and to encourage recycling and reuse of many materials in mosaic art. I am committed to searching for materials and methods that fit the project instead of fitting an expected mosaic mould. I have an eye for mosaic materials that push boundaries and this excites me.
Art Built-in and community art feeds my artistic appetite to touch and inspire the journeying public, well into the future.
My mosaics cover teapots to airport terminal walls and are permanently on view as swimming pool murals, landscape mosaic sculpture, rejuvenated furniture, interior and exterior mosaics. I update my mosaic portfolio regularly and enter my mosaics in art exhibitions around Australia.
I dig deep with clients during commissions to satisfy their vision, with professionalism, integrity, discipline and total commitment. Every part of the journey is important to me.
Teaching & mentoring mosaic artists and students allows constant inspiration - my creative juices overflow. Mosaics provide much needed therapy in the community and I am proud to be of service. Having my husband on board forms the backbone of the business and with the constant support of other artists and friends I am free to follow my art. Let’s unite in the quest to beautify our surroundings with enduring, exciting mosaic artworks, creating a wonderful environment for everyone – “covering the concrete” is a lifelong ambition!
I am proud to be the current Queensland Representative of the MAANZ, (and past VP for five years) of the Mosaic Association of Australia, helping to make a difference with mosaic art in the community through exhibitions and education.
If you have a mosaic in mind, perhaps we can share the vision and make it happen?
