WARNING:  MOSAIC ART IS ADDICTIVE!  THANK GOODNES FOR THAT!

So, the mosaic bug has bitten you!  Fortunately, there is no cure, but making more and more mosaics seems to be great therapy for the mind, body and soul!

You are excited and can’t wait to make a mosaic, get at the hammer, hunt and
gather some tiles and plates and possibly you want to make a mosaic table or a pot plant, perhaps a garden paver?  Or, you may wish to tile the floor, the swimming pool, the property fence or cover fry pans with mosaic faces! You have seen mosaics made on tv!  The magic of tv seems to remove the adhesive curing time!

You may have attended a free mosaic demo at the local hardware store….there is so much more than a little picture frame or pot…..You may have visited the library and been inspired by mosaic books and pictures!  Wonderful.  You may have spent hours on the web and been overwhelmed with mosaics – wonderful isn’t it?
….And still after reading the books, surfing the net, you still don’t know which adhesive to use, what substrate works well in the wet, how get a flat mosaic, or work in 3-D? Perhaps you have raided the garage, have tile nippers and hammer in hand, found some grout and some tile adhesive and its systems go!

Perhaps you have made a mosaic pot and it looks wonderful!  Perhaps you have bigger mosaic ambitions but have a few questions now on technique, adhesives, correct installation and wonder how do you plan a mosaic and do 3-D grouting?

How do you cut those little glass mosaic tiles and what glue is ok under water?  So many questions, so many techniques, tools, adhesives and grouts……contemporary mosaic art is ever changing with new products, new techniques and th  traditional methods combined with contemporary methods opens up a whole new world of mosaics! Book a workshop at OzMosaics!
