Parking! Many visit the Shop 24-7 Emporium to buy their mosaic goodies and therefore parking is not a problem. We recommend using the on-line mosaic shop to save you petrol, time and money - spend more time making mosaics than driving around. If you need to be around mosaics, to touch, feel and smell the grout visit OzMosaics studio and shop. Parking is in Arlington Street and there are no parking meters! Trolley bay is kept tidy by Ridge. Millie likes to race them in Robertson Road! Trailer bay is handy for deliveries Remember the old drive-in movies? Sandy loved them, snuggling up in the back seat of a misty window, watching a love story with a hot date and eating lots of chocolate, jaffas and have-a-heart ice-creams....oh, they were the days. The Basement Emporium Car Park is often set up to hold Drive-In Movie nights. Sandy supplies members of the DIVA club or invited guests special movie passes to the Diva Movie nights and runs wonderful movies on the car park walls. You can sit on the bonnet, or if you arrive early, use the panelvan or the pink padded van for a closer view.... While you are there, you can add some tiles to the Great Wall of China Downunder that is taking shape on the lower building walls. Sandy also instructs on the correct mosaic technique for such mosaic making murals. Such fun. Bring your own plate to smash and bring the camera. Sausage sizzles with tomato sauce are always on the fire. Only bring wine in blue bottles. If you need to sleep over you can sleep in your car or book in to the Diva suites B&B.
Dave will happily attend to your shopping needs and carry your mosaic stash to the car. If Sandy is in residence she will try and take time out for a quick cuppa and chat. The billy is always on the boil (actually we have a new kettle called Urnie...we have a couple of old ones to mosaic...but no time yet!). In the Emporium car park you might be lucky enough to get Ridge to show you Sandy's collection of cars - the pink padded van, the white van, the comby with surfboard. Des parks his green MG next to the old Hordern carriage and he is still scolding Milli for dinging his MG....long story.... Dave drives a red 4WD and is terrified Sandy will paint his caravan Diva Pink! She has great plans to take that van and 4WD and Dave of course, around Oz, teaching mosaics as they go and visiting as many mosaics as they can find and record. The OzMosaics trailer gets a huge workout bring things TO THE STUDIO...from the dump! Sandy dreams of getting a bus to take mosaic addicts on Mosaic Diva Tours around Oz or at least between Brisbane the Gold Coast and the hinterland. 2008 will be the opening of the OzMosaics Studio Hinterland linking up with the Eumundi Markets. |
