Shirley Whitton - Polly from the Trolley

Shirley Whitton - aka Polly from the Trolley!

Meet Shirley who fills our cups and our hearts with pink tipples!

Polly dispenses soothing potions and calming cups of tea or a pink tipple - floating around OzMosaics Studio, usually with her head in Zone 4 - a very pink, fluffy place.... Polly is indispensable!

Shirley is a
good

mosaic mate and great artist in every sense of the word.

....but don't let all that pink stuff fool you!
Polly is my Editor in Chief of the mOZOZmag

She is very friendly, genuine, giving, artistic and sociable - her gift is getting to the h'art of things and being a very good listener.   Polly visits the studio regularly and is Sandy's confidant and wonderful friend.

We have a fabulous group of mosaic addicts who meet very often to work on mosaic community art projects or to make our own art -
it's never ending.   OzMosaics studio is always full of good cheer and good mosaics.   Polly is also a keen gardener and seamstress, with a penchant for collecting dolls and making exquisite doll’s clothing.

As Polly From the Trolley, Shirley has a duty of care - to make sure the bikky barrel is full of Iced
Vo-Vo's, Tim Tams and Anzac Biscuits (for starters) – the chocolate doesn’t seem to last too long in the fridge.

The coffee aroma is awesome. The fridge is covered in mosaic, of course.  The mosaic addicts helped Sandy and Sandy's mum Shirley to mosaic the two poolside tables, the fridge, surfboard and so much in the land of mOz.

Polly gave me a rock collection, with a lovely 3-D mosaic application - a mother rock - and pet mosaic rocks! They are so cute. We
love putting mosaics in the garden and the mosaics add a bright touch until the rains come to regreen.

The bougainvillea here are really amazing....they like the drought and colour my mosaic garden.
So next time you visit OzMosaics, we will have the "billy boiling" and a cuppa waiting.
Please always phone first for an appointment, to save disappointment as often we are out on mosaic location!

My Iced Vo-Vo mosaic platter looks great with rum balls and pikelets.   Shortbread Scotch Finger biscuits are good for dunking and Tim Tams are revered.   Of course, we have English Breakfast Twining tea and BUSHELLS, it’s given, but we try and please all with herbal teas too. Mosaicking Mum has given Sandy lots of mosaic teapots which need to be grouted but we use them anyway.

We have mosaic serving platters, trays, and cheeseboards in the Diva Chambers for mosaic board meetings and of course the wonderful LazySandy serving tiers are great conversation pieces. Many students and clients want them for bridal receptions for the wedding cake platters and very special gifts.

Sandy from Cairns, another mosaic addict, gifts us with fabulous coffee from the Atherton tableland -then the coffee maker works overtime!   Her Cairns tree frog worked its magic on the studio water tank in combination of the Diva Rain Dance - drought breaking mosaic magic- legendary stuff!

Emporium moments - when you see pink, it's Zone 4......Sadie the cleaning lady and Hector are responsible for the Emporium receiving many mosaic garden awards.   The poolside learning centre (Sandy believes water and sunlight are the essence of mosaic creative juices), provides an idyllic rest area.

Sadie and Hector like to put the mosaic surfboard on the pool surface and turn on the wave machine  - inspired by Rolf Harris's wobble board.  mOzBalls and mOzmoodies are everywhere.  Incredible at night....everything's perfect!
