After you have completed the Beginner A Workshop (Sandy's direct & mosaic mesh method one day workshop) you may increase your mosaic skills at OzMosaics.
Lots of choices! Workshop B for china, 3-D and thinset. Weekend workshops on special mosaics such as memory pot planters and mosaic mirrors. Perhaps a Christmas workshop to get inpsired for gift-giving? Enjoy a mosaic portrait class or a day making samples with the amazing Dynasty smalti glass. Book in to the Mosaic Addict Days (MAD!) to complete projects and have a fabulous time with other mosaic addicts, project workshops and more! A mosaic marathon week of mosaics is coming up in January 2012!
BEGINNER: Workshop A (Direct & Mosaic Mesh Method).
Intro to mosaics Sandy Style for beginners and artists wanting to learn Sandy's tips and tricks (especially mesh mosaics!).
Be prepared for a very full day, packed with hands-on mosaic making and expert tips and tricks. You will make a mosaic from start to finish, completely grouted. You work on a set design, so you can take the knowledge and make your own designs at home.
A touch of mosaic class! Sandy's Beginner mosaic class is designed for you to get up to speed and make mosaics! Even if you have some mosaic skills you will learn much in our mosaic Beginner Class and this is the entry level for all students at OzMosaics. Watch some mosaic videos at the studio!
After completing workshop day 1 (Beginner A - Mosaic Sandy Style, Direct & Mesh method) book into the mosaic Advanced Workshop B for the ultimate experience - 3-D mosaics using China, mixed media etc. Learn to embed tesserae in thinset and many of Sandy's famous tips and tricks. Texture and style.
ADVANCED - 3-D Advanced (China/mixed media (Module B) workshop:Use china, bottles, ceramic, glass tile, wire, beads, cement, gold paint, pebbles, slate, cup bottoms and more! Turn china into tesserae for mosaic flowers, 3-D! Make greenery out of wine bottles! Paint in cement! Bling & Boing! You will love this workshop - it's beyond flat! Sandy shares tips and tricks whilst you create a beautiful mosaic to hang indoor/outdoor! Guaranteed to get your mosaic juices boiling! Take a break and create! Contact Dave and book in! You will be a mosaic florist! Take a little time out to get your hands dirty and your imagination racing! In one day create a mosaic vase of flowers with very special mosaic effects, 3-D, mixed with wine bottle, china, smalti, glass tile, wire, beads, cement and more! ! You will love it and take home a 40 x 30 cm completed mosaic mural, ready to hang! (You may need to polish it/clean it up a home - but it's a fabulous hands on workshop with amazing results in one day!)
$10.00 per session (one day) *MAD Mosaic Addict Days -Mosaic Addict Days - Students who have completed Sandy's beginner workshop are invited to attend MAD Tuesdays/Tuesday evening creative mosaic get-togethers. Be inpsired by other mosaic addicts and enjoy working at OzMosaics studio. Bring your own tools, imagination and work away at your own project or work on Sandy's wall mural. Purchase materials from OzMosaics shop. Have fun, relax and enjoy great company. 9-4pm day/ 6-10pm evening, Tuesdays. Ring and book in. Some Tuesdays may need to be rescheduled due to commissions and away from studio projects. Check each week with Dave for availability. See you there!
