It's over and it was great! Sandy and Maureen ran the mosaic workshop - venue Brisbane Girls Grammar - it was fantastic. Thanks to all students who worked fast and made the weekend such a memorable one!
11 mosaic murals featuirng 3-D wheelbarrows with spilling flowers and foliage made from china, wine bottles, glass mosaic tile, mirror, beads and more! Mysterious cement trees, picket fences, rabbits, ballerinas on swings, birds and other interesting mosaic touches, were added to the murals over the two day mosaic marathon. The results are excellent. Thank you to our students for an enjoyable and productive arty weekend.
Before the workshop:
Maureen and Sandy attended KC 2008 wine and cheese evening and gave an overview and slideshow on mosaics - we had such a great time and enjoyed meeting many of the other tutors and students, who were raving about their workshops!
So many interesting workshops and tutors from far away places too! We enjoyed watching a book signing and the champagne was great too!
If you desire to learn to make mosaics in a very creative setting, the school facilities are simply beyond perfect. We sampled the food, checked out the workrooms, you could not ask for more!
Koala Conventionsinvited Sandy to tutor mosaic making at their 2009 Koala Convention at Brisbane Girls Grammar School, Brisbane. How exciting! You are tempted with an incredible selection of needlecraft - and can top it off with a mosaic lesson too! Both art forms blend well with patterns, colour and beauty.
Sandy is listed as a tutor at the Koala Conventions week of craft extravaganza, July 2009 at Brisbane Girls Grammar - why not take this opportunity to learn mosaics?
