Birthday party - a gift to the mural!

Many special birthdays are celebrated at OzMosaics Studio and some special birthday girls contributed their birthday party to making a mosaic for the Steve Irwin Tribute Mosaic Mural.   It was a very special time and will be in the hearts and 'arts of all who attended.  Slide show is being compiled.....the memories are so precious.

A fun day making a huge bird at one Birthday Party and another amazing day making lots of mosaic creatures.....imagine visiting the mural many years later - a mosaic birthday reunion.  

Steve Irwin Day at Australia Zoo, every year, is a very special time and many will remember 2009 when the mural panels were installed at Australia Zoo - emotional and a lasting mosaic tribute to Steve, Terri, Bindi and Bob and Australia Zoo.    Wildlife Warriors supported the project from start to finish and a very special thanks to Angie!   Thank you Australia Zoo for providing a huge wall space for the mosaic panels, the installation crew had the murals up and on display, without a hitch!   Fantastic!

Many mosaic contributors, their friends and family have travelled to Australia Zoo to see the mosaic murals and a group of mosaic addicts are visiting Australia Zooon October 11th 2009 - it's a great opportunity to share the mural making stories,  whilst we are meeting up at the MAANZ Brisbane Symposium.  The train ride from Brisbane should be great fun!  We will take photos, of course!

Sunday 10th October, slide shows will be running and video snippets of the mural-making (really it's lots of laughter time!) at OzMosaics Studio, with afternoon tea of iced Vo-Vos and Tim Tams, of course!  Meet Polly from the Trolley, our MANA Mag editor - she is always listening for good stories to share in MANA, in the social online Arena.   Contact OzMosaics for more details, come and have a smashing good time.   Please let us know if you are attending SAP as we might have to get a truck of biscuits in!

Due to the success of the birthday parties, 2009 will see Hen's nights and more special events - making a lasting gift in an inspiring and fun mosaic ARENA is awesome!   We will have special events in MANA in 2010 and profits will go to MANA for all MANA of community art projects.
