Pretty well.  Have tried to do a bit of sewing lately but the concentration wanes a bit and I always end up back at the mosaics.

Donna (mosaic artist) - Totally!  I’ve been addicted since I created my first one.

John (husband) - Not directly. But I do enjoy creating color patterns with small pieces, be it toys or tiles. I am mostly geometrically oriented so I like straight lines and repeating patterns. This project has given me a window and appreciation into all the trial-and-error experience one goes through in creating mosaic art. Seth (19yo) - Nope.

Laryssa (17yo) – No.

Cory – (12yo) - Not really, no.

Shane – (9yo) - Not really, no.

Note from Donna:  Austen our 4yo loved the whole process and asked for several designs to mosaic.  He spent a lot of time placing different tiles on them, although the elephant is the only one I finished for him.  We gave him a magnetic mosaic kit for Christmas which he loves!  The rest of my family loves to play with wooden shapes and they have spent countless hours pushing them together on the floor in geometric and abstract designs.

Every part of me, except my fingers .. ouch.. adores mosaicing and I have just finished a memorial mosaic for my parents gravesite and a wise ‘owl’ for Scott Alexander King.

Most definitely!!!! There is a saying around our house “if you sit too long Dianne will start thinking about mosiacing you!” I look at surfaces  around our home and property and think this would be a great spot for a mosaic totem of even that a fence post would look pretty good!  I even look at friends and family crockery and wonder what they would think if I broke it ‘by mistake’!!!!  Would they let me have it?

Is the Pope Catholic?  No kidding.  My garage is full of potential tesserae and substrates.  I see mosaics everywhere and have little sketches of ideas on the back of my checkbook, napkins, and all over.
