Sandy has been teaching mosaics at her Studio since 2000 - at Art Festivals and schools, artist in residence programs and community art. Each student has their own generous mosaic space at the mosaic art table.

Intro to mosaics Sandy Style for beginners and artists wanting to learn Sandy's tips and tricks (especially mesh mosaics!). A touch of mosaic class! Sandy's Beginner mosaic class is designed for you to get up to speed and make mosaics! Even if you have some mosaic skills you will learn much in our mosaic Beginner Class and this is the entry level for all students at OzMosaics. Watch some mosaic videos at the studio!
After completing workshop day 1 (Mosaic Sandy Style, Direct & Mesh method) book into the mosaic Advanced Workshop for the ultimate experience - 3-D mosaics - you will be submersed in the joy of textural mosaics, using Sandy's famous mosaic techniques.
Soon CLUB mOz demonstrations and mural making moments! - and perhaps join us for Sunday Sausage sizzles...register to be on the events mailing list. We also will have mosaic slide/movie nights -wine, cheese and a slide show of the famous Steve Irwin mosaic mural and other mini presentations - we will ask you what you want to know!....it's spectacular viewing and we can all have a ball at OzMosaics Studio.

Workshop dates are dependent on Sandy's mosaic commission schedule; book in as soon as you can for your mosaic class, to avoid disappointment (the workshops fill quickly and are kept small so you can learn more!).

If you can hold a hammer, you can mosaic but Sandy will guide you with incredible time-saving techniques to get you making mosaics with professional style but putting your own personality into the art. We don't just hammer and smash, you will learn technique/design - and how to incorporate hammering, smashing, nipping, nibbling and shaping! You will understand the traditional terms of andamento and opus, colour design and your creative juices will be overflowing!
Traditional or contemporary mosaic style, Sandy has it all covered.....Sandy is working on new workshops to include advanced classes: Mosaic portraiture, smalti, pots, mirrors, garden pedestals... Some of mankind's earliest artistic expressions are through the medium of mosaic. Browse the web, explore and search Google - everything about mosaic history is online, at your fingertips! Decorative pavements of simple pebbles are cemented in history! It's fantastic reading and gets your creative juices on the boil~

The studio is set in a lovely spot - close to transport, but new visitors are amazed at the privacy and personality at the studio - experience the sounds of birds, beautiful poolside studio and happy coffee area. It's another world and everyone loves the studio and workshop! Students are immersed in a delightful, exciting creative workspace. A unique learning experience - hammering, nipping, shaping and exploring the world of mosaic art.
Students are encouraged to explore Sandy's mosaic marvels and enjoy viewing current client projects - showing Sandy's professional practice and mosaic works in progress. This is invaluable insight into mosaic on many scales and mediums. Students are encouraged to ak for help. Once student are proficient in drawing up a design, cutting and shaping tiles, laying tesserae to emphasise the design (andamento, opus) - next comes cementing and grouting the mosaic. Sandy explains the versatility of mosaic materials and the pros and cons of direct, indirect, sticky plastic, pushin method, spontaneous method and 3-D.
Be prepared to become addicted to mosaics. It fills in the gaps and gives you time for you! Relax, let go of stress for a while, immerse yourself in your thoughts and you search for the perfect pieces, shape and nuture your tesserae to bring your design alive. Make your mosaic dreams a reality.
